Fairy Friday Random!

The poster for the 21st annual Spoutwood Farm May Day Fairie Festival has been released! Jenn and I have been attending the Fairie Festival together since 2004 (it is our FAVORITE time of the year!), and in the coming weeks leading up to Beltane (May Day), we’ll be posting more and more about our past experiences, reasons you should go, magical moments…basically, why it’s the most enhanted place in the world, and why every fairy lover (or fairy themselves!) needs to put it on their life’s bucket list to attend! ❤

Until then, look at the pretty!

The next update of The Fable Tribe Etsy shop will be February 29th, a Glamourkin update. It will be on that magical, moving day that sometimes exists, and sometimes doesn’t, the Leap-year day of the magical leaping year. ;D

If you’re an Atlanta fairy, this weekend, the beloved Frenchy and the Punk will be performing at AnachroCon–there’s a fabulous article about them and the Con here. Fairies and Steampunk mix particularly well these days, and the fabulous fairy sounds and Steampunk riffs of Frenchy and the Punk (formerly, the Gypsy Nomads) go astoundingly well together. Whether you wear goggles or wings, Frenchy and the Punk are not to be missed! (Says a stalwart fan~ ;D <3)

I loved this article on 8 reasons why fairy tales are essential to childhood–it includes one of my favorite Einstein quotes:

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
― Albert Einstein

In November, the lovely Brittany Warman paired up with Gilded Lily Photography for an enchanting photo shoot–half Snow White, half Victorian/Steampunk, all inspiring and bewitching!

The little perfume company Violette Market recently debuted its Hans Christian Andersen collection–perfumes inspired by his collected and literary fairy tales. The first one up is “The Little Fir Tree”, which is both a sweet and depressing story (if you remember how the story goes–but aren’t all of his? ;D And he’s a favorite, here at the Fable Tribe!). The perfumes sound magnificent, though my favorite of the offered scents seems to be the Winter Hare: Fluffy cotton blossom, white carnation, tuberose, honey accord, sweet grass, and cedar leaf.

And, finally, words of wisdom in sparkly form, courtesy one of the Fable Tribe’s favorite fairies~ Please share if you’ve ever been a fish. ❤

(Have a fairy exciting bit of news? Want to spread the word about something magical? Want to enchant more lovely fae? Send us an email with the info, and we’ll do our best to include your piece of pixie news in the next Fairy Friday Random! <3)
